Commissions

Engaging in bespoke illustration projects is undoubtedly the most gratifying aspect of my work as a freelance illustrator. There's an inherent joy in receiving an email about a commission for a custom illustration of a client's home or business.

Typically, I embark on a comprehensive process, starting with a visit to the property to capture a plethora of photographs from various perspectives. Additionally, clients often provide me with imagery of their property.

I meticulously curate these images into a cohesive layout. Following this, I reconnect with the client to review the proposed design, remaining receptive to any feedback or adjustments they may have. Crafting each illustration is a labour-intensive endeavour, typically spanning several days to ensure meticulous attention to detail.

As a signature touch, I integrate a snippet from a local newspaper into each illustration, adding a unique dimension to the artwork. Upon completion of the illustration, I take great care to assemble a bespoke, one-of-a-kind personal greeting card to accompany it, further enhancing the client's experience.

Any new or current illustration can be transformed into Wall Art, greeting cards, invitations, postcards, mats, bags and tea towels.

My illustrations vary in size, the largest are generally Framed A3 Landscape / Portrait, down to Framed A4 Landscape / Portrait and the smallest are Postcard size.
